Jolly Jenna's 5th Birthday Party - Westridge Gardens

She greets with smiling eyes as she welcomes her guests. This little model turned 5 on the 11/12/2011. I look at her wondering if I could bottle up that cuteness and take it home with me. She jumps and laughs and plays with vigour that makes you want to be a kid again. Her care-free spirit rejuvenates my tired body as I photograph her jumping around with the other kids. Her mom is truly blessed with a jewel for a daughter :-)

Sweet Skyla

She is sleeping as we arrive at Bugz Playpark in Joostenberg Vlakte, then suddenly awakes in total confusion as to where we are and what exactly we are doing there. To my surprise, she is not a grumpy little one when she wakes up (as I sometimes am *blushing*) and gets with the programme immediately. She run's care-free, enjoying the bubbles her mom are blowing at her as she tries to catch them. She has a quiet, fun-loving nature about her as she continues through the playpark exploring her environment reminding of the wise words of Muhammad Ali - "Children make you want to start life over."

The Modest Male - Lincoln

He struggles to control his laughter as he looks into the lens of the camera. It doesn't feel right he tells me. That's my God-fearing friend Lincoln. He has the look but would never admit it. And rightly so! He is one genuinely, down-to-earth guy that has the utmost respect for EVERYONE from his mother to the stranger in the street. And it gives me chills to know that I know a guy like this :) The camera definitely loved him!

In Living Colour - Caroline & Olivia

Life isn't just black and white, although that is my world. Muizenberg Beach's colourful "cloak rooms" (for lack of a better word) was the best way to demonstrate the colourful and vibrant personalities of these two young yet hard-working ladies. The one a law student, the other an Ackerman's Head Office employee, both carried their vibrancy with such grace that it was hard at times to tell whether they were genuinely joking or being serious. Either way, I had total fun photographing them in FULL COLOUR!

The Vintage Sisters - Leighdre & Taryn

When I look at the sisters (yes they are!) Leighdre and Taryn, I see vintage. Not the "old-lady, back-in the-day" sort of vintage, but the modern-day, stylish vintage. They've got the personality, the look and the sisterly-love to go with it. I absolutely LOVE how well they modernised vintage!
